It’s hard for me to explain why it irks me. My first thought was so the group of them, all these rich fucks, is that they can murder, torture, rape and sexually abuse whoever they want at no consequence. Billionaires just do shit like that irl so it doesn’t come off as cool or impressive to me? It’s more like…I was reading this waiting for years the suspense was building and building I was like “how is he gonna save his omega? How is he going to protect him and marry his ass?” And then the answer is….that…the other alphas just don’t care because he’s the best alpha? now that you put it that way, i completely agree. it felt underwhelming when they went that route with the whole "alphas don't care bc they were born with privilege. that's the plot, don't question it" trope. i wish the author built onto why shin is the ultimate alpha & how everyone isn't dumb enough to go after him or his mate instead of the sudden foreshadowed reveal. i feel like it cheapened the experience for sure. but the difference in personality with how he treats his omega is soo fuckn endearing haha
