Anything for the "character development" of horseface
I saw it more as Dan being too tired/ exhausted to understand what he was doing. Since extreme tiredness n stress can cause hallucinations n psychosis

It shows in the chapter and a few chapters prior that he's been having a really hard time sleeping bc of nightmares... he's literaly downing bottles of alcohol at night to try and stay asleep
Yeah poor Dan, he’s having to use alcohol as a way to fall asleep from all the stress
Nah cause why would he kms even though he and his grandma are doing okay????? Idk the delusion of this author
