Mistress stumbles starts to get nervous. Mistakenly she believes the guy has feelings for her. She looks at where he's sitting with his lawyer and he doesn't even glance at her! He's stuck staring at Chloe! (Gross!) She had another bad episode and he's all worried and by this point, he knows he's in love with his wife (THE F****** AUDACITY) and Mistress' world comes crashing down.
She suddenly remembers all the gossip about rich nobility having trysts as 'playtime.' Mistresses treated as toys to be discarded. She realizes with painful clarity that's exactly what she is. BUT GET THIS! She has a sibling who's sick. With this divorce case being so public, mistress is done for. She'd be lucky to get a decent job at all. And the regret is palpable. Hell hath no fury like a scorned woman and she confesses EVERYTHING. If she was going down, she wasn't going down alone.
Mistress doesn't shy away from the questions. At all. Tear stained and all, she confesses like a singing canary trapped in a toxic mine and verdict for divorce is swift as she submits evidence in the form of a diary. Details of their dates are written clear as day.
