Same I just feel like the red string would mean nothing at all cus what is the point of the red string that in many legend is a symbol that connect people to the person who are destined to be together or to their soulmate and I know their red string is cut but honestly shouldn't there be at least some feeling towards each other but it was only han-gyul who seem to have once had those feeling toward him. I just feel so bad for Han-gyul he has been through so much as a kid having to provide for his family as a child actor and dealing with ghost and now he is being use by his og soulmate so that bitch can get with his brother

No, that thread needs to be cut bc it was made with dark arts and it'll end up killing Han-gyul along with the ML: the dark spirit that connected them has always wanted their lives in exchange, from the very beginning. So if anything, MC and ML would need a new thread
As in, a new thread that isn't tied to a dark spirit, doesn't matter if it's a new one that still connects the mc and ml together, or that connects each of them with other people
No I think his thread defs needs to be cut, but from the gangsters perspective he’s helping to cutting off Han-gyul’s new thread (because he’s not aware of the fact that it’s a danger) so he’s being completely selfish and willing to cut his thread in exchange for his own happiness. When his thread got cut he was told he would be alone for the rest of his life, and he’s willing to cut han-gyul’s knowing that could be a possibility for him

IIRC he did know a bit bc the shaman did tell the gangster that if he cut that thread (without killing the ml, as 1st option) then he'd be saving 2 lives, and bc that would be a "good deed" then he would be "rewarded" with his own thread getting "healed", and chance to reach happiness (Plan B was, if he couldn't find a way to cut the thread, then just kill off the ML, in order to be able to save the MC at least).
