Different universe AU. The ML is the one Valetta met from a time warp. The ML of that worlds valetta died young. He still remembers the night him and original valetta had so he went to mulitple universes to find another valetta (very hard, shes gone in alot). The valetta he found longs for a peaceful death. He didnt grow up with a valetta and is alot older than the original ML, so hes more rough around the edges
