Pretty sure it's when your HP hits 0% the next hit can be a final death hit, but with the dagger it made him invincible once he zero'd out his health. The setting in the world is 0% is a normal human; 1 fatal blow means death.
Ah, I didn’t consider the thought of being back to a regular human. The common understanding of zero is totally dead, not a prep nor a warning for the fatal blow (￣∇￣") rather a confusing setting for me.

It was a frustrating end, felt empty, and then a cliffhanger.
Throughout the story, I was confused about the 0 hp tho. Wouldn’t it mean that the character died? Hmm, makes me feel like it’s an attempt to be different from the others but illogical or not enough substance to back it up. What would indicate as dead then? No levels showing? Cease to exist?
I also thought MC would be adopted. Welp, I was wrong in that theory haha I’ll put this on hold until there are more chapters
