It was implemented. Kana is overprotective so he didn't really wanna introduce Naho to Aoi and Hakusa (telling that they are dating is like setting another boundary: he is mine kinda)
So Hakusa ofc misunderstood, and Kana just went with it
And poor Naho never heard from others he is cute, only from his parents and Kana. And he liked him so much (and Naho new Kana's taste in things is good) he believed him from the get go. Over time he believed it himself, despite others not saying this. Like the little origamis. Parents told it's cute, Kana told it's cute, why whould any of them lying?

I cannot comprehend why they started dating??? Like what the fuck weren't the friends talking shit about Naho with Kana and he started saying "He's average" okay cool average is not bad but just imagine throughout your whole life you've been told you're cute but behind your back you are called average?? And also that blonde friend I assume he is blond he assumes that Naho is "one of the pursuers of Kana" but why didn't Kana tell them directly its his fucking childhood friend????
