I think what's sad is the puppy is so small. Like we're imagining a large wolf devouring a small puppy. But although he is called puppy he is 20 smthng. I think Chi Young is 30ish/early 30. So there's a bit of an age gap. But the puppy isn't literally a puppy.

I feel you. I adore really to see the ml takes care with little puppy. It's fine too when the ml is with the mc when they're both humans. But it's just so weird to think the ml is... love partners... with the puppy. So for me, it's better to think I'm reading two complete different stories/moments, one where we see ml playing with his pet, and one when he's with his lover. Although fiction, I'm really not comfortable with the concept, especially now that their relationship is clearly established. I'm not comfortable either with the fact that people are so comfortable with doggies s*xuality such knotting. Do they know what it looks like?

I'm not a furry, I am used to demi-human tales, though. Knotting isn't an act of violence in these stories, it's more an act of extreme skin-ship.

I know that knotting in these animalistic bl stories doesn't mean much, but IRL the action of animals knotting is unsettling, painful for animals, and I think this term shouldn't be used so easily in bl romances where readers are humans. I get the concept of it (romanticization), though it's just way too animalistic

We're not talking about irl knotting, but BL knotting, which is always portrayed differently. I wouldn't romantise animals knotting, it's obviously a painful process, but in BL it's completely different.
