On a more serious note i was going to say that as you said she did everything right, and in my opinion she healed him from a no cure disease for free, was stabed for him, and could have simply just gone on her way after having her fun (which he definitely did too), and he could have ended up being the obsessive ML who chases after, but she ended up falling for him too so that's why all the drama and heartache.
She was 100% sure she will die, was being hated by her family to the bone and her lover at war, under all that pressure she chose to follow through with the plan she had from chp 1.
I don't get why ppl are hating, okay i feel bad for the ML too and her running away at such a time isn't a good look, but how you gonna cuss out someone you had so much respect for whithout even a question as to why she did that.

Not denying all of this because your right, she did do all of this and, on paper, she didn't do anything wrong. But a relationship like theirs became MORE than that, especally to Asharan. I mean come on, she SAW how in love Asharan was with her and SHE couldn't put two and two together. She just ASSUMED that "oh, he'll get over it when I'm gone", and the truth is that HE WON'T! She even found out that she was the first girlfriend that he ever had and he was VERY obsessive over her and she thought NOTHING of it. The kind of person Asharan is won't let the love of his life go THAT easily. Asharan even TOLD HER he loved her and still she decided by herself that it wasn't real and that all of this would end when she left. That's why that whole arc was SO important with Doha because that when she realized that "oh shit, this is how it feels. Damn, I fucked up."
I mean come on, even with Doha, his feelings were SO obvious. What friend do you have that literally makes you a bracelet of their own mana incase you get hurt so it will heal you and alert them that your hurt so he comes to you. I mean, it was so obvious that Doha wasn't a low level priest and she had ALL the signs but decided to ignore them all. What low level preist can heal all her injuries and leave no trace the way he did. I know this is a fantasy world, but really it was all there. She was even healed by a real low level preist and was suprised that they didn't heal her the way Doha (who she fully believed) healed her. That should've been a major red flag for her. Hell he even thought her how to wield her mana (which we found out that she's on par with the next pope, Doha, in terms of mana strength) so how in the hell was a mere low level priest like Doha able to not only teach her but help her properly use a heavy amount of it so she doesn't drain herself.
I mean dude, IT WAS ALL THERE. I don't hate her or anything but she just makes me SO frustrated. We all know she isn't dumb since she managed her family's business herself, so how the hell could she've miss all the signs? How could all of this have flown over her head unless she decided not to think more into it and that is why people are frustrated with her.
Be mad at me all you want but this whole thing could've been avoided if she would've JUST USED HER HEAD.（/TДT)/

Same thoughts. She was destined to die on her early 20s, at the best time of her life after finaly finding happiness and becomingfree from her family. Who will have the thoughts to worry about anything in that situation other than their impending death.

was it not ml's soldiers that found out she went to a doctor for the terminal diagnosis? like put 2 and 2 together that she didn't want to burden him with her death... and servants thinkin 'yah i know ml just went through an entire continent trying to find this girl but i think i'll be fine if i ignore her when she calls' like yall ALL have a death wish
and people saying in the comments she deserves it like are we reading the same story? she offered to cure this guy's curse for basically FREE (housing, food, a couple dates). she repeatedly harmed herself to help him. she literally tried to kill herself so he didn't get hurt trying to save her. she left before she thought she would die so he didn't have to feel that pain (also all they had was a contract? she literally did exactly as she was contracted to do). she was repeatedly lied to and gaslit by doha. she TRIED to tell him the truth, over and over again. i know she keeps feeling guilty about all of it, but frankly she doesn't have anything to be guilty about. she upheld her end of the bargain. she cured him. she left as she said she would. she tried to get in contact with him. she saved him in the desert. what more do you people need???
