i think you’re on to something! not to be one those ppl but i think Shin likes bad boys bc that’s what he’s used to. he’s from a shady town, hangs w shady ppl, Jay being a gang member was like the sun rising everyday just normal for him ykwim? he’s not used to good guys and probably has a low self esteem thinking that he’s not worthy enough to be w someone “good” i also could be projecting ahh who knows
I think this was already explained in the previous chapters where Shin thought he and Jake were both like rats, or the lowest of the low, so he has someone he can relate and lean on to. So he was disappointed Jake was not what he thought to be and was feeling betrayed. Anyways, they'll have the hottest make-up seggs so maybe we can look forward to that (▰˘◡˘▰)
I think there's something about them both being lowly that's commiserating, but I don't ever really think it was about that. In fact I'm pretty sure Shin hated anything therewas to do with drug pushers. I feel like Shin was thinking, you know I kinda broke my own morals and fell for this drug pusher gangster, and now not only did my choice not matter, but you f**king lied to me about everything. But yeah here's waiting for their make up s*x.

I'mma be honest. I feel like Shin is into bad boys and is more disappointed than relieved that Jake isn't a gang member. Anyone that isn't would've been in joy that they're no longer obligated to do whatever a gang member tells them to do. Even so, I hope that doesn't make Shin less attracted to him anymore.
