mc wanted the snip surgery to remove the bond between him and the ml. If he had kept the bond, even if he left the ml, he would have to go through painful heats by himself.
mc had always wanted to get the surgery but never did in the past because of money. this time, his father in law funded this surgery.
the father in law wanted the surgery because the bond stopped ml from producing excessive pheromones. the father in law sees the ml as a lab rat, and wanted the ml to continue producing excessive pheromones to continue his pharmaceutical experiments. it was implied that if the mc and ml remain bonded, the father in law would instead use his grandson as the new lab rat. so this was another reason for the mc to get the surgery.
the ml might give off an obsessive energy to us readers, who have seen this before in other bls, but mc doesn't have our perspectives. there's little reason for the mc to believe that the ml WOULDN'T leave him alone.
as far as mc knows, the ml doesn't have any feelings for him, since the ml is not communicating them even though he's been given the opportunity to do so
the perceived personality shift is probably due to the pov camera now focusing more on the ml's worried and helpless reactions towards the mc distancing himself. we didn't get as much focus on the ml's reactions in the start of the series. ml is now more humanised because of those pov shots
I think I got lost in the last few chapters
so why exact did he finally get the snip surgery? cuz the father in law was gonna leave the kid alone and experiment on the ml again
why would yejun just assume the ml would leave him alone? like duh he isn't communicating but he is coming off as very obsessive. like he's not going to leave him peace. he gives lock you up engery
also why the 110% personality shift in the ml in general. still crazy but also sweeter?
