I doubt the king will face anything, but Yugriel died a few chapters ago. He failed to complete the ritual of transfering his soul.
In the novel, the king and Yurigel supposed to loose together. The prince became the king but since he is still a baby Ciel & Sir Mio act as regents. The Queen continues to live but died early on (before the prince turn to adult).
