This manga is pretty good overall. Initially, I liked Taichi’s personality—he’s bubbly, energetic, and fun. However, as the story progresses, his recklessness and naivety start to get on my nerves. I don’t know much about relationships, but his tendency to overreact becomes almost comical. Well, it IS a manga, so I guess that’s expected. While his down-to-earth upbringing explains some of his behavior, the excessive stubbornness, failure to speak up, and constant misunderstandings create unnecessary drama, which makes the story feel exhausting at times. Overall, it’s a great manga. I really admire Kouhei’s personality—he’s mature and gentle. However, I get frustrated when problems arise. Kouhei tries to explain and clear things up between them, but the moment something doesn’t sit right with Taichi, his only response is to walk away. This leaves Kouhei alone, confused, anxious, and second-guessing himself. That’s my main issue with Taichi—he acts like someone who constantly needs to be chased after.
