That's similar to something what I have in mind too, which is actually supposed to be included in my comment, but I just realized was cut short. Anw, it might boil down to something like OG maythan and mc maythan sharing the same soul, but with just different memories or wtvr. It would be unfair to both of them if not. Also yes, carsen kinda suck, i'm giving him a chance tho. since he's got it rough from childhood which explains his actions (but ofc.not an excuse). I am hoping for character development.

And yeah, he apologized, but there isn't a reality where that would ever be enough to make someone feel better, let alone fix broken trust. I get that it's a common scenario in BL, im just tired of crap love interests. siiiiigh
That's true. He's really an ass, but it's quite obvious he's the ML on this one, that's why I could only hope for character development. If you want a good read with good ML, I recommend Turning and Mission Save the Hunter. Best plot and characters, the novels are available too, but still on going.

After reading all that carsen flashback... i'm now skeptical with carsen x maythan ship. I mean, that's not his og maythan. carsen have made a meaningful relationship with the og one and it feels like he's pouring all his affection to the wrong person which makes me feel bad and unfair for the og.
Though, he was still supposed to be a "bad" character, but on carsen's end, he was a friend, an ally, and someone precious to him (even causing his mana to fluctuate) and that person is gone now replaced by a stranger without him knowing.
