Um so…

I thinks there are some plot holes or things that kinda don’t make sense? Can someone confirm or deny these
1)-first of all, who is Dot the servant and why does he has such a deep connection with MC. I understand that he has raised MC, but if I understand correctly he is a servant chosen by the king/queen to serve the prince. Unless the Prince directly chose Dot, but I doubt it. So if I understand correctly, his loyalty should be to the queen or king. And yet he seems like a normal servant of low status. As a direct butler to the Prince, I’m pretty sure he should have at least fairly high to normal status. But it’s explained Dot comes from a fallen noble’s family.
2)-I might be wrong but would things work out as nicely as it did for them to leave the palace. It seems extremely unlikely. Maybe if they were normal noble children, it might work. But two princes plus the kid of a duke or smt, going on a carriage to study to an unknown location. I don’t think it would work that simple. Furthermore, I haven’t seen a single knight or guard for the princes. That might have been unnecessary if they were adults, but they are children of the fricking king who rules the kingdom and they are leaving palace grounds to who knows where.

There are more but these stood out to me first and foremost. Also I know this is fiction and all but come-on, I’m making sense.

    1) I dont think Dot's origin and attitude really matters so much but its just what the story says, he's a servant from a noble house (tho not sure if its a fallen one). Its common for the royal family in these types of genres to hire servants from lower noble families as most of the time, they view commoners with disdain and disgust so much so that the idea of one even touching their things is horrible to them. Either that or nobles, as people who live closer to the royal family, should know more about etiquette and decorum and history of the royal family than a commoner that might have no idea about noble life much less a royal one and are at risk to make mistakes that offend the royal family or stain their reputation. Of course, even though they're nobels, they are still a servant once in the royal palace so of course they have to act humble. And Dot is shown to be very affectionate with the MC bc its insinuated that Dot has been with the MC since he was young, so of course who would he be more loyal to? some employer that he barely knows and fears or the kid he raised and served as his own? the answer is obvious.

    2) Its insinuated that Edward is neglected in the royal palace, with no one to even feed him so why would he have guards? As for the MC he tricked his servants by making it look like he was studying and unless he's in house arrest, i doubt the queen would put guards in front of his room and for Gray, he has a servant that counts as a body guard ig. They sneaked out by getting in Gray's carriage making it look like Gray is just leaving the palace as he normally does after their classes like routine so i doubt the guards will bother a dukes son and as for the commotion that Dot made, i guess they were just really quiet

i think you're mistaken OP, they didn't ask permission for this at all. They didn't make any excuses like studying somewhere else and just sneaked out directly cause if Joffrey (finally remembered his weird name) asked for the queen's permission to go somewhere, anywhere, he would either get denied (for safety reasons) or they would get tailed which would be a problem since they're trying to sneak Edward out to meet his mom (aka the queen's rival whom she hates)
