I haven't read that part yet but swing as this is as they're nobles it's most likely to produce heir's, that's usually the cliche in comics and even real life, you make baby and baby grow up with a 50/50 chance to be powerful meaning more power coming into the family. Plus yk old school setting, the kids would be illegitimate if they weren't married yet
Seriously don't like the dad. You could have made it so he avoided his kids because of his illness or something but no. You just made him an antisocial sociopath who for some reason loves his daughter now (and only his daughter). Which brings me to the question why the fuck did he get married and have kids in the first place? He didn't seem to love the wife, at most they were friends. Are you trying to tell me he got a wife and kids because his mother told him to? Does he seem that obedient?
