real, the ml's juvenile behaviour may stem from his trauma but there's no reason for him to not improve upon it. getting support from your loved ones around you is motivating and it should serve as an incentive for you to pursue becoming a better version of yourself...not heavily depend on their emotional strength and leech off their goodness to justify your own shortcomings. and both the mc and ml should realize this. otherwise whatever they had in the beginning will only keep on spiralling into a toxic suffocating chore rather than a relationship they can both enjoy and revel in.
honestly, this relationship is terrible and extremely unhealthy... MC shouldn't have to deal with his antics and emotional issues. He let's the dude get away with practically everything.... I get that he has a traumatic past, but it's HIS responsibility and his responsibility alone to find a path forward and find ways to heal. Sure having a loving caring partner is a good step, but that's only going to help if he actually makes an effort to face his demons and communicate with his partner about his struggles. Instead, MC has been babying him and kept the relationship going without ever addressing the real issues. idk, I'm just finding it hard to root for them as a couple
