Okay, the thing is I've talked about it so many times but most people disagree so it's okay, but tell me if you are going to sell your body to someone and that person happens to a big jerk which you know all the well and that jerk happened to pay you well, free you from your debt and grandma's hospital fee, and ask you to do your part of the deal and you do but is really weird and forceful with it, would you consider it rape? And if you do consider it that, instead of hating him, you fall in love with him and expect that jerk to like you back ( I mean I hate jeahyung and all and I think Dan is stupid but I pity him too, he is too good for that jerk of a guy)

Jinx as a manhwa on itself it's such an interesting phenomenon bc it kinda broke through its own place on the internet, it's overly popular to the point people who would've NEVER read comics are reading it and for a lot of people in the community it's a big problem since it's extremely toxic and base on coercion and force interactions. What's interesting it's the only reason why this manhwa got so popular when it first came out its exclusively bc it's from the author of BJ Alex (which it's the first BL of many people and everyone loves it even tho it's mediocre as hell)
Now plot wise it's lowky a carbon copy of bj Alex dynamic (be it a more extreme version tho) and I'll definitely flow the same flow as that story did so it's not even that interesting since it's rlly predictable

Anyways I rlly hate the story bc the fans are SO stupid at that. Like it's a toxic Cinderella plot and Jk pushes Dan into a corner to accept to be his plaything and people somehow still say Dan CHOOSE it like???? (I think it's partially bc people don't even know what coercion means but wtv)
Also people forget abt how Dan not only wasn't gay but he also got his life destroyed by a man who harassed him and he was very much having a horrible time when having sex with Jk, even when he first felt good his first reaction was to be disgusted with himself to be "like them"

no ur so right at the beginning of the story you could definitely call what Jaekyung did rape. Like YES he did pay Kim Dan to have sex w him and YES Kim Dan accepted the offer, but at the same time it got to a point where it was like "can you even call this consensual sex??" because of how Jaekyung treated Dan in bed. As for Kim Dan's feelings I feel like his view of Jaekyung is significantly influenced by how Jaekyung has treated him overall. Kim Dan is the type of person to only acknowledge the good in people especially when he was desperate for help. So when this fucking dickhead feeds him, gives him a home, pays for his bills and debts Kim Dan only thought about how well Jaekyung was treating him and how he could possibly pay him back. I'm gonna assume that's probably where Kim Dan's feelings for Jaekyung stemmed from. We've seen in the past that Kim Dan understands that Jaekyung is cruel and hot-tempered, but the mere fact that Jaekyung provides for him overrules the idea of Jaekyung being a bad person. That behavior is also where Kim Dan's negative view of himself and that he is pathetic and needs to try harder came from. It's all because, in his head, Jaekyung is this glorified man who did sm for Kim Dan, and in return he has only caused problems. (which is obviously not freaking true as we have seen in the last 57 chapters) Kim Dan is also probably the type of person to disregard their achievements which also builds onto this negative view of himself. Also I've heard a lot of people say that Kim Dan expects Jaekyung to like him back, but I feel like it's the complete opposite. Throughout the last chapter you can tell how much Kim Dan regrets what happened at the last match. I don't think after all that he would ever expect Jaekyung to like him, or even FORGIVE him. (not that he needs to be forgiven cause none of that was his fault and im so fucking sick of jaekyungs bull omfg) anyways that's js me tho I could be totally wrong. also sorry for the rant I love talking abt stuff like this ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

I saw “yap away about jinx” and thats all so hear was what I originally wanted season 2 to be (or basically just MY own take on season 2):

Kim Dan leaves Joo Jaekyung and it’s actually bc he’s mad at him for being such a piece of shit bc he finally realised he actually sucks and completely lost all feelings towards him.

His granny finally passes and he scatters her ashes on the beach where a massive ship pulls up to the shore and he was picked up by a bunch of 17th century type of pirates and he’s apart of the crew now.

He’s with them for about 10 years or so, and during that time he worked his way up, getting buff and strong by eating a lot and tackling sharks and beating up other pirates with his crew. He doesn’t think about jaekyung at all during this he actually forgot about him right after leaving him he never thought abt him again.

Present time he’s absolutely jacked like he’s bigger than Joo Jaekyung. He’s travelled all around the globe he’s been everywhere. The captain of the pirate ship hands leadership over to Kim Dan before he died and now Kim Dan is the super well respected captain of this huge infamous pirate ship and he’s absolutely jacked bro.

He has to go to Korea one day for some reason and while he’s there he comes across jaekyung who instantly recognises him for some reason but he’s still obsessed with Kim Dan for some reason like what.. ew.. anyways…

He wants Kim Dan back but Dan is like “who tf is this little bitch?” Then he has to get reminded that it’s Jaekyung and he’s like “ohhh I kinda remember u ig…?” And he rejects him and insults him like “weak ass ho all you do is beat your meat in order to win fights” and Jaekyung gets pressed, he’s not takin any of that! So he’s like “me. You. In the ring. 11am tomorrow. DON’T be late..” while cracking his knuckles and shit like an edgy disney channel bully.

Ofc Kim Dan shows up but he’s literally just textin on his phone when he enters the ring.. like the fight has started but he js doesn’t gaf at all. Jaekyung swings a punch and Kim Dan just SLOGS him in the face with his face without breaking eye contact and losing focus from his phone screen… and it instantly knocked Jaekyung out and he instantly js won the fight then.

Ever since, Kim Dan was titled Korea’s greatest ufc fighter and bestest Jaekyung at the one thing he was good at, but didn’t even care about it. Kim Dan didn’t even care that he won. He doesn’t even like boxing. THAT SUCKS FOR JAEKYUNG BRO GOT BEAT BY SOMEONE WHO DOESNT EVEN LIKE DOING THE SPORT AND NEVER HAS DONE IT BEFORE AHAHHAHAHAH.

So afterwards, Kim Dan gets back on his ship and sails off onto the seas again, bc he doesn’t even care about the fame like all 8 billion people on the planet were crazy about him and he didn’t care he’s just so nonchalant ig. He doesn’t care about the fame or the fact that he beat Jaekyung, he js wants to fight sea monsters and live on the sea for the rest of his life with his crew. And he did just that.

Hi I really like u because I've never heard something so true and down to earth about this fucking manwha. It's so refreshing to see someone who is not been taken over by the jinx curse. (yayayay hallelujah) First of all, BJ Alex is def mid. When I first read it I was like "damn this is amazing" but after rereading 3-4 times and reading way better manwhas w way better plots I def did not share the same sentiment as little me from 2021.

Jinx follows the same plot structure as BJ Alex but on a more extreme and strangely dark and violent level which freaks me out tbh. I have to assume that why it's gained sm tractions. With the author being Mingwa and the ML being canonically handsome asf, + the add in's of rape, coercion, and abuse Jinx is like the perfect manwha for so many BL fans out there. There are so many reasons why it's attractive, whether it be the basic BL plot line, the fine ass characters, the idea of a chasing/redemption arc, or for the sick freaks out there, the concept of plain mistreatment and abuse that Kim Dan faces in the story.

I think it's actually amazing that there are humans out there who read this and argue that Dan chose that life. Idk abt u but the Kim Dan I was reading about did not seem like a stupid fuck who would purposefully pick a life of abuse and mistreatment because it could pay of his debt and hospital bills. I do agree that Kim Dan went into that contract knowing Jaekyung was NOT a gentle man, but after the first 10 chapters Jaekyung's actions got SO MUCH worse Ik he said anywhere and anytime but fucking in the showers while actual TEAMMATES are in the room is INSANITY. And the stunt he pulled with the gross pop-it dildo thingy because my mans asked for an ADVANCE?? and pls dont even talk abt the whole thing w heesung omfg god bless his soul WHAT? THAT IS NOT WHAT THAT MAN SIGNED UP FOR I SWEAR

In general or when I look at the comments under the chapters I feel so sick when ppl are like "that was so hot I need more" ho he js tortured my boy tf u mean u need more... It makes me so mad especially when people look past Jaekyung's literal CRIMES against Kim Dan because he's hot. People are SICK in their HEADS and they need to be LOCKED UP. I really hope those people aren't looking for a man like him, because god bless u are signing up for hell. Jaekyung himself would curb stomp u why tf would praise him. And a lot of ppl would js say if u hate it that much stop reading, but I, like Kim Dan, am in too deep and I must get a back story or some type of context for Jaekyung's behavior because even Jiwon wasn't this bad.
