It's actually fascinating and pathetic because it's easy to read Oscar. He's so transparent about his obsession with Ines.
He's obsessed with her because she's the highest ranking and most precious bachelorette of the empire that's perfect for him. But also that's her flaw (for him) since he knows she's so much greater than him (brain, sports, etc) and his inferiority is so bad, he gets jealous of her and the people around her, especially men. This inferiority complex and mix of adoration and hatred of Ines was what drove him to do unspeakable things to her in that life.
Oh yeahhh, they did mention about his inferiority complex. When you put it that way, i kinda do understand about his obsession with Ines.
Having a WOMAN being better at everything, choosing a husband that's better at everything comapred to him too. Despite being a Crown Prince, he has achieved nothing significant but at the same time felt like he should have everything at his beck and call because of a title that he knows he did not deserve but has obtained.
Like Ines. He wants Ines because she was someone he couldn't have despite being a Prince. And although he knows he is undeserving of Ines, he wants her because he is the Crown Prince and the Crown Prince gets whatever the Crown Prince wants. And even when he did get her, he's battling his inner thoughts because he knows there's always someone better than him, so he feels that anyone that gets Ines attention are better than him. So he gets angry and takes it out on Ines, because Ines should only be looking at him.
GOD IS THIS RIGHT? WHY IS HE SO UNNECESSARY COMPLEX. THIS IS GIVING ME A HEADACHE
Anyhow, the crazy fiancé(Oscars wife) look a lil deranged after realising Oscar actually love ines(and I say that with just a touch of nothing because WOAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN LOVE)(More like obsessed)( do they ever say why Oscar was so disgustingly obsessed with Ines?)(not that it matters. I'm just curious)(he can rot in hell.)(actually, I want ines to cut his balls and penis) (and stuff it down his throat)
