no matter what anyone say, he deserved it for treating his wife like that
i’m not saying that he doesn’t ‘deserve’ it because what’s happening in the story is merely the consequences of what he chose to do. whether he deserves it or not, his choice of being cruel to his wife led him there. what i’m saying is you guys should atleast try and understand his pov. understanding the reason doesn’t mean that you’re on his side, you’re just simply putting yourself in his position. imagine being married to the daughter of the enemy that is the number one suspect for your family’s death. imagine the pressure and disdain he gets for marrying her. i’m sure not a lot can keep there cool. yes, it doesn’t make what he did less wrong because a reason is not an excuse but the more you understand him, the more you’ll make sense of his character which makes the story itself more complex
