However, once she does take a sip, this will just lead to a whirlwind of disaster and he has absolutely no respect for her. He wanted to kill her spirits (by killing her babies) and she didn't consent to it.
It infuriates me how he confuses love and lust. If he can't possibly give her time to adapt to his sudden appearance, then he shouldn't even be in there. But yay plot I guess
