at the end of the day the husband is to blame and the mother has gone through a lot but when you have a child in the situation it means that you're not the only one you have to think about, she brought him into this world and a parent's job is to protect and nurture their child no matter the cost so it's very heartbreaking to see what he went through.
Maybe she escape when there is a chance while the child is not there? Idk, school maybe.
She was being abused by her shitty husband and wanted to get away from everything. I mean, she's a victim too. BUT, if I was her, I would never leave my child...
