Well I guess if the thought process shows inappropriate intent in the actions in the future I’ll happily eat my words. I’ve not looked ahead. And I’ve been wrong plenty in my life.
Nah this is just wildly unsuccessful courtship. There’s problematic aspects like power dynamics going on, but a large separation or time and space don’t add credence to the idea of grooming.
They met and played as children. The dude has taken advantage of his position and power to manipulate mc.
If it makes you uncomfortable to read though, definitely don’t. This amount of chapters should be enough to determine if you want to continue or not as I imagine a few more problematic tropes may be on their way.
