The king gives the impression he only sees women as objects. He doesn't actually LIKE them — they're but a means to an end (male heir) and a way to let off steam. He wants them when he wants them, yet he also seeks to keep his most prized possession happy...which is odd, because she's entitled AF & he doesn't seem to actually like women.
