Honestly I get what your saying, but my own experience with such weak willed men.. ugh.. better be a pretty rough arc if he’s gonna have one.. like loose everything! Not once… even as an ADULT, did he stand up to his crazy mother! I feel bad for his new wife.
Plus he never actually looked for his baby bro after he ran off… totally useless, spineless mommas boy. I feel like even if they had known the secret of the mirror it woulda never chose him. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
Yeah, and that's what I'm praying. For a good character redemption arc that will turn a member of the enemy's group into a great support for our main character!

We’ll I can support your dreams! I too get quite delusional with my desires for different characters! I can get on board if arc is gritty for sure. Part of me is a sucker for family bonding as well, only experience it in fiction, gotta remind myself to not be so jaded haha! I empathize so much with MC, I want him to have all the good things!!!
I know they did bad in the past, but despite that, I kinda want the kind red hair brother to have a redemption arc and make up to our MC and become a supporter for him.
Though that's just my "family bonding" obsession wish
