I'm going to shoot my shot here at guessing how the author is going to develop this shitshow...I think that eventually, the plot will develop in a way that MC's father figure and boss/mentor are actually involved in killing MC's parents or innocent people in general (is MC even an orphan in this one? I'm too scarred to go back and reread the first couple of chapters to see if it's that kind of situation). So, the author will use that as a way to make MC team up with the asshole irredeemable piece of shit rapist seme and through that they will become "closer" as if that has any semblance of a realistic scenario...I would love to be proven wrong on this one to be honest
