The themes of classism and power dynamics are better represented here than most bl with this dynamic. The MC cant relate to the lower class but thinks more power would solve problems. But the ML was born extremely poor and with that cant help but to be hyper aware of the class divide and power dynamic that is effecting a majority of their interactions. The MC wants him to be greedy like him and in his mind become an equal power wise. But inherently hes jumping the gun by forcing a relationship with his power before even seeing him as an equal romantically.
For it to work, it needs to be both of them trying.
They need to communicate and find a common ground. Someone needs to be more tolerant and the other set boundaries for certain things.
About him using power to have him, i agree 100%. He forgets or maybe doesnt realize how that makes mc feel. ML just thinks its them versus society, but mc doesnt feel that way. To him, it has always been him versus poverty. So there is a gap. ML would do everything for mc and i think it feels natural for him. Since he loves him, he will be there and what he has is also his.
The issue is ,again, he used sex as coercion to make a connection. Thats where he fucked up.Again.
And its no wonder he feels like a prostitute and not equal.
Yall he is finally not hiding that he loves him and is actually trying to not allow his impulses win?????
