I was referring to Brett in the beginning where Hayden pretty much forces himself on Brett in response to another commenter. In this context it is rape because Hayden wasn't willing but Hayden is also a "dishonest" character and the whole thing could've been avoided if they just communicated with each other but it's still within character with each other. My point is that the story was never wholesome so people being surprised to me is the real shock.
