Agree, most of the other manhwa just brush off the trauma away n too quickly. Trauma is a very big issues n cannot get away that quick. But when author show us how the trauma REALLY goes like this manhwa. Yet some of them calling her weak???? Even my trauma from 10 year ago is still with me lol, but not as big as Ruby's. Anddd in the current chapter, she's ready to fight back this so how is this still not enough?
idk whats happening in the comments but this manhwa fr uses trauma as a plot device that is justified on why its being shown and done in the story. like we are given these scenes because we had to relive and see the abuse ruby suffered from in order to understand the gravity of her situation at that time to push thru the narrative in that current chapter and to overall root for her happiness after everything has been resolved.
and thats what i like abt this manhwa cus i see some authors just casually put traumatizing experiences on their characters and then brush it off after a few chapters, never to be mentioned again (like those slavery plots that sometimes doesnt get mentioned anymore without addressing properly what a character has to through)
and there also some where there are too many traumatizing scenes that are actually unnecessary and not really needed for the plot to go on since that was not the main plot device they used to continue the narrative. (basically trauma porn)
and that ^ one i havent felt at all while reading this story so its crazy how some commentors say that it is like that ( ̄へ ̄)
