All this yapping about this story when many of you have already read and given higher ratings to other "rape/porn fetish" BLs with much better (colored) art?
The main character is a prostitute who has to struggle on the margins of society. He has no food for days. He has no family to depend on. He has nothing just his body to sell. His life is about selling his body and having sex he didn't ask for... What did you expect? A fluffy fairy tale about kawaii characters? A cute and fluffy pimp who doesn't wanna blackmail and coerce the uke into sex? A chasing arc and red-flag turns green flag redemption arc after which everyone here goes 'kya'?

no you're right, he is a prostitute, he wasn't even attracted to men, the story is supposed to be grimy and sad. I think most of the frustration comes from the fact the that the couple that the whole work is named after, hasn't gotten a lot content. If this story was just about mc life as a prostitute then yeah it does make since that the couple feels more like a side content, but when it is about them as couple but the fucking clients (rapists) get more content? also it doesn't help with how much detailed rape included, the author made their intention clear when they made those frequent rape scenes last 3+ chapters

Yeah, I totally get your point that basically the seme and the uke+seme relationship were sorta neglected and ofc some commenters feel frustrated bc of that. But in the afterword, the creator admits that they wanted the audience to feel discomfort while reading the story. I found nothing sexy or hot seeing those scenes, I felt disgust, so the creator has managed to reach their goal in their own way (via many graphic rape scenes).
Your criticism is on point and good, but imho some commenters here could only focus on the negative aspects of the story and tended to disregard positive things (e.g., the seme's character development, the unusual romance building up bw the seme and uke, etc).

Judging by the author other works...I think they have a thing for this, especially with how repetitive the rape gets, as in it is the same, no new context, not just with how frequently detailed it is. The author was so immersed on whatever feeling/interest they have towards rape that they couldn't make a gruesome point of how this is the only current way for mc to live, in some way it almost disconnected from the mc life, like it doesn't happen to him, that's how repetitive and pointlessly detailed it was.

this might sound harsh but if you read author's other works you would understand a bit

I think a lot of the negative comments are coming from people who wants to forget the main point of the story, that he is a prostitute, and no dramatic turn of events would grant him a speedy delivery of a happy joyful life, that and the stretched out, detailed rape scenes along with barely giving the actual ml two fucks

"this might sound harsh but if you read author's other works you would understand a bit" -- you are right, I have never read the author's other works, but I heard that their stories tend to be a 'tad bit' rapey and miss their point bc of that. ( ̄▽ ̄)"

"The author was so immersed on whatever feeling/interest they have towards rape that they couldn't make a gruesome point of how this is the only current way for mc to live," -- It was obvious for me that it is the only current way for the uke to live. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I think most people are upset cause yona IS a green flag, their relationship was cute and wholesome. So all the chapters and side stories that were only rape felt unnecessary. Even if it was a grimy dark story it went beyond that, it was literally just rape at one point, people weren't expecting that. It's basically porn some plot but not even with the ML, mainly with rapists

I don't think Yona is a green flag, let's start with the fact that he paid to have a sexual encounter with the mc.

Wellll I get what you mean but whether or not it's wrong to have sex with a prostitute is a whole other debate. I personally dont think yona is toxic or bad for paying a prostitute for sex. But I get it, it would be more romantic if they fell in love without yona being a customer. But in the context of this story and it's overall vibe, yona is kind of a green flag since he's more or less respectful and the way he acted when he realised changil might have a bad association with sex. He assumed changil was a prostitute willingly and there was no way for him to think otherwise. But that's just how I see it
