ML knows MC from high school because ML liked how good MC was at baseball. Then MC’s parents die, his arm gets fucked up, and he’s traumatized so he leaves. But unfortunately he’s in debt now, so the guy he owes money is like hey come work for me at my debt collection company. That’s what we see in chapter 2.
But the guy is an asshole and treats MC like shit. On that specific day the guy’s main investor, panther, came to town and he was stressed because they didn’t have the money yet. Panther was mad because they’re always late on their payments so the guy kept sending girls up so panther would say yes to their extension. (It didn’t work). Then the MC comes back from his rounds and the guy sends him instead. This is the scene we see in chapter one when Panther fucks the MC.
The MC doesn’t know it’s panther because he had a blind fold on the panther knows it’s him. The MC is also traumatized from this and thinks the guy who fucked him was an old geezer so he doesn’t suspect panther. After this night, MC decides to leave and start his own debt collection company.
To do this he borrowed money from the chairman, the man who is supposedly panthers lover in the beginning, when mc was supposed to bring in a payment chairman then suggests he train panther or pay all his owed debts up front.
Other notes:
- despite the car crash panther retained his memory but is lying about it
- the MC’s colleague, who he started the business with, has a shitty mom who owes hella money and keeps using her son as leverage
- and I may be wrong about this but I think the mc is trying to bring down the chairman because he thinks he’s the one who fucked him
