I used to feel so inspired whenever I listened to the song "THE DAY"(I never skipped that opening), now when I listen to it, I just remember how bad the ending is. The ending goes against everything, it goes against the heart of the story. Why would I re-read or re watch it knowing it basically tells in the end "no izuku you can't become a hero". It breaks so many peoples heart - people who dreams of becoming something, who related to izuku and his dream and his determination. Also why are people actually defending this ending? Are people actually just happy with him getting the girl? What's with that? It's not a rom-com. That's not the point of this story
My thoughts exactly. I LOVED him dude one of the only few characters that genuinely inspired me but now I can't re-read it knowing at the end he's gonna become like that. (TW- worst part) I don't see nobody mentioning it but my bro isn't even in the top 50 hero ranking greatest hero of all time my ass
Top comment says "A boy without any superpower want to become a hero".and it ends with that boy not becoming the hero after saving the world! Why?
I don't care who he ends up with. It's about who he becomes. Let him be the hero he want to be.Why gave the Izuku such bittersweet ending? What kind of message is it giving? That he can't be a hero without special powers?! What kind of development is this? So unsatisfying!
