well that part reminded me of interview with the vampire. but it's def not the same vibe. because in that louis wanted to save a dying child etc and so lestat turned the child because he asked, and so he'd be able to keep louis with him.
here it felt like ML did it as a gift? i think he thought shuuya would like it? a part of his old life would make him happy, or it was also a way to tie him to him as well, so he wouldn't leave. but that doesn't make as much sense, 'cause apparently he can mind control him lol
i think azure just does wtv the fuck he feels like doing and doesn't think things through, he doesn't seem to understand human thought processes?
btw i don't actually think MC is in the wrong for killing her, just because she was a child. she literally would be a child forever, probably satisfying her hunger and killing without thinking twice about it. what he did was a kindness. but that's my interpretation so who knows.
having said all that (sorry kajdhsjad), i get where you're coming from. i'm just intrigued by the story enough to keep reading it and i like vampires xD and obviously you're not dumb at all.
Honestly I think i'm just too dumb to understand what this story is trying to tell. Like I can see it's trying to give me the deeper meaning and how essentially both of them are in the wrong (now that mc killed a child) but I just don't get it. I don't get the appeal and it feels like the author isn't used to writing dark stories (like I said before maybe I'm too dumb) bc I've read some before that explained it all a lot better than this
