Omg I haven’t gotten to read the story bc it’s Christmas and I’m cooking (happy Christmas btw). Anywho while I’m downloading the chapter I started to laugh bc I didn’t grasp whether he genuinely just smell like fish or it’s bc of the fish market
I believe its because of the fish market and growing up around fish, and because he smelt like that for so long and people made fun of him, it became a complex for him even when he has his own place etc. imo i think he wouldn't really smell like that now with his own place and all, unless he were helping his mum out, but i think he's too in his head about it

I don't think he actually smells but like he said in the first chapter his ex's "malicious ridicule" made him hella insecure and aware about how he smelled, I am guessing it was a one-time sorta thing and he somewhat got traumatised by that remark it became a habit he can't help but do compulsively
