(sorry for the yapping, i love how they wrote her so much and completely agree with you!)
yep. and not to mention those same adults keeping her in a little bubble and restricting her contact and time with people uninvolved in taking care for her, teaching her or are important to the expedition.
which is really sad, as parts where people would find her "annoying" is her wanting to at least reach out as her normal high schooler self and not as the holy maiden.
plus the royal court and church not telling her the full truth about her position/what happens in the future after everything is done. (although it kinda makes sense they make it seem more happy and cheerful due to the religion and the fact they're the ones benefitting from her being there)
it's kinda bittersweet that the only person who knew (even if briefly before these events) and still see her as a high schooler and a normal girl in her is kondou, who coincidentally, is the one that has to break the bad news to her (about him nearly dying several times, his condition due to being her extra in the summoning, them not having a way to go back etc.) but also the one who wants to put everything into helping her - both when she was being summoned and now getting her back home.
i think a part of her realises that too, and she's now starting to think about this seriously with kondou's words and him treating her normally. she's now grounded back to her reality, that she has family and friends back in japan, that she's only 16, the daunting realisation that people may die following her in the expeditions - hell, she wasn't even THAT close to kondou but still felt terrified, imagine if it was someone closer to her.
she is seriously such a good character ;;;;;
augh, same ;_; it hurt my heart so much the first time she really started realising how messed up everything was on all sides.
but i really hope they will start to treat her as an actual human being at some point and spend at least some quality time with her as equals before she (hopefully!!!!!) returns back home.
she deserves the biggest hug and a (or several) besties to stand by her side.
Yeah took a while to find but the link should be this https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/seijo_no_maryoku_wa_bannou_desu_mouhitori_no_seijo/
Honestly feel so bad for the holy maiden, she's pretty much just a highschool girl dragged into a mess she needs to clean up, I admit she was a tad bit annoying at first but the more i read i started to understand that she was just a teenager having unfamiliar adults put pressure on her to fulfill a duty that would determine the fate of a lot of people in an unfamiliar world without her family and friends, she doesn't even know what's going to happen to her loved ones back home too, I really hope they do find a way to send her back
