(2) there was a part where they seriously argued who would do the pregnancy! yoon chiyoung wanted to do it bc he was more physically capable. remember the puppy was sickly and unhealthy when he was young, and yoon chiyoung didnt want his babe to go through something as difficult, taxing, and risky as pregnancy
(3) the puppy still ended up carrying their twins (yes twins!) as the medical tests showed his body would make for a better pregnancy. hes far healthier now than when he was younger anyway and can perfectly carry kids, yoon chiyoung was just overreacting lol
(4) lots and lots of pregnancy stress and fluff! the side stories show their journey while heesung is pregnant, like how they deal with his pregnancy habits (overeating, wrecking furniture, oversleeping etc) and yoon chiyoung’s symapathetic pregnancy, aka when the husband goes through phantom pains, nausea and similar symptoms as his wife while shes pregnant

first of all, heesung does get pregnant but not through sex alone, as natural breeding between 2 different species (wolf x puppy) is impossible. thats why heesung doesnt get pregnant even tho yoon chiyoung knots him every time they fuck. what they did to conceive is something similar to artificial insemination, as medical technology in their world has advanced enough to allow it between 2 diff species!
this happens in the side stories, and
(1) before the pregnancy part, they thought long and hard about when to have kids. neither of them wanted to rush into having children, as they both had rough stories with their respective families, and they both wanted to ensure they’d be 100% ready for parenting. heesung is 6 years younger than chiyoung, so even tho it’s not much of a gap between 2 adults, the wolf still took this into consideration. even tho hes old enough to want kids, he and heesung still agreed theyre not having them until heesung is ready to enter parenthood and genuinely desires to have kids
