The story is cute and clearly if Drueux wanted to leave her, he had every chance to in the second chapter because how she was obviously "never" going to be with him. He had like 2 decades to make up his mind to give up on her and all.
Now what I don't understand is the contract tbh. I'm sure they explained it very clearly or something but it still isn't clicking with me. He made a contract? She is a contract? She is a physical contract so if she dies its over? What is up with the whole "everything will try to go back to normal"? Because in the first chapter vs the second chapter it is vastly different that im not understanding it. Maybe im stupid? Dunno i dont get it tbh. She had her wishes but he had his wish so is their contract binded together?
