I saw there was a spin-off for Dohyun so I decided to re-read this to refresh my memory. I think overall the story was nice, the pacing was good, the smut is also detailed. The art is great, it's detailed and I love how soft the characters looked. I enjoy their sweet interactions and how they're so into each other all the time. But I had one gripe that soured my reading experience and made me quite upset with Taegyeom. I had to stop reading for a bit because it ruined my mood. It felt like I was reading a child throwing a tantrum.

I didn't think their confrontation was fair at all. The essence of their confrontation was that Taegyeom finds out Yoonwoo had been lying about his manifestation and felt betrayed/deceived. He put all the blame on Yw without really understanding and only kept insisting he had been wronged.

But I feel Yw dealt with the cards he was given as best he can. He finds his best friend from an aftermath of an SA, his friend then professes to hate omegas and that he is glad Yw is a beta. Yw then manifests as an omega. Of course he will hide his second gender.

Essentially Yw shouldn't have lied, yes, but Tg isn't some innocent bystander either. His words, his actions, his hatred for omegas, is the sole reason Yw has his own trauma. Yes, I'm calling it trauma because Yw was literally having panic attacks thinking he'd been exposed and he ended up hating his own second gender for it. Tg gave Yw a trauma and Yw ended up apologizing for it. Make it make sense.

The fact that the confrontation focused on Tg and Yw ended up shouldering all the blame, just didn't sit well with me. If anything, they were both equally to blame for the outcome. Why is it that only Yw had to feel responsible? I wished the confrontation had been dealt with better, rather than Tg running off and leaving Yw to feel, once again, responsible for managing Tg's emotions. (mind you Tg had the nerve to tell Yw "you're blaming my trauma for this situation" like are you fr rn? yes blame the guy who put your emotional pain before his own. blame the guy who hated his second gender because you hated omegas. blame him for everything but also expect him to coddle you. fuck off).

Btw, I don't know if the author intended for Yw to have a trauma, that is why everything was focused on Tg's trauma, but as a reader who has eyes and can see what Yw went through, I say 100% he had a trauma. Yw's trauma was never addressed and he ended up chasing Tg for forgiveness and a second chance. That's just such bs. They got their happy ending though and a baby, but I'll always be bitter about the confrontation.

End rant here about the confrontation.

Other comment I have is about the omegaverse aspect of this story itself. I don't usually read a lot of omegaverse stories so I don't know if this is normal, but the fact that every word out of these character's mouths consisted of alpha, omega, beta, and pheromones, was just so funny to me. It dissolved a bit toward the end but in the beginning, I felt like everything anyone ever talked about was about alpha, omega, beta, and pheromones and it kind of took me out of immersing in the storytelling.
