In a way, I do like this. In the novel, I was always curious to what happen to the originals in the first place. Original Edith decides to leave and let current Edith stay. Now that K has left, what has happen to original Elize? If original Elize is kind like she really was, then she deserves happiness as well as she couldn't prevent K from anything. All Ediths and original elize deserves some kind of relief or happiness and I truly hope so for original Edith. Even before the timeline when original Edith brought k and other Ediths, there wasn't much original Edith and elize could do.
I like how the parents is now taking responsibility and helping edith.... beside the fact it was K who did it but not Elize. In the novel, they couldn't do anything and let K take over and run them through hell, which included cliff.
I do find it weird that cliff wants k back but he don't realize that he would end up as the original novel , where he lost feelings as he loved the kind elize. But I do understand where he is going at. He known k and not elize. But I can't help but think perhaps they changed cliff in a way, however his actions make sense to his character. His personality remains unchanged but was presented two paths, both with same end. One path is the novel and the second path is finding out the truth with original elize present. Cliff sort of have this obsession and this huge ego. Plus, he fell for the kind elize. But I bet no matter what path he chose, he would fall in love with the one who is kind. In the novel, clifd would fall out of love for k as he originally fell in love with the kind elize and that K don't need to act kind anymore. This results him in choosing someone else who is kind. But since the manga took it this way, then perhaps he may fall in love with original elize again. Or perhaps find love with the girl he was suppose to go with in the novel. The fuck up thing would be he find someone totally different.... then that might be out of his character.
I'm not really happy that this world that they are in is not a world of its own but simply a novel.
spoiler-ish
