ACTUALLY NEVER MIND he could get married to the 5th prophecy. Because everyone thinks each prophecy is a male God but it turns out that 2 of the 5 are actually Goddesses. And when he gets married to the love of his life and she gets pregnant and gives birth, he realises his mistake. A mistake that can't be undone. How could he marry one of the prophecies when he was supposed to be on a mission to kill them all? What will he do now that he is the father of the 6th prophecy?
I wish I was an actual writer who writes novels because I just woke up and immediately thought of this idea:
A man lives in a world where people believe in the 7 prophecies. Except those prophecies were people who were seen as Gods. The prophecies will pass by one by one, slowly destroying the world until the end comes near. When he was a kid, his parents would always tell him about the 7 prophecies and how only 5 were born. He would be told to act in his best behaviour because no one knows when these prophecies will happen but everyone knows how they will happen. And everyone lived in constant fear, chasing their lives and not having the time to enjoy it. Most people would get married as soon as they're capable of marriage and its responsibilities because they wanted to have kids and complete their lives.
Because once a prophecy happens, you can't go back. If you were a bad person and a prophecy happens, you will continue living as a bad person and you can't repent. But the man was so done with living in that constant fear. He wanted to go on a mission to kill those so called Gods of the prophecies. He wanted to live freely and create a new generation. A generation where people don't have to rush their lives out of fear.
<< I haven't thought of more but I wouldve loved to make the mc a woman because I don't want to do an mpreg story. Cause I just thought, if the mc was a woman, what if she gives birth to the 6th prophecy? How will she react? >>
