I get you, it’s like magically, after 16 years, your love is still or loose the same. I don’t think that’s realistic, they could have stayed in contact as the nephew said, they had telephone and letters, so I don’t really understand that dramatic separation.
i honestly really like the feel of this, but i would’ve preferred a sad ending rather than the one we got. maybe it’s me being nitpicky, but i find it hard ta believe that it took them almost 16 years ta reconnect? you can clearly see they’re in love, and i know that gene showed interest in making something of himself by delving deeper into his education, but 16 years??? it doesn’t feel all that realistic, if anything it jus feels like they tried to make it as dramatic as possible. even then, considering the time they spent apart, their reunion was extremely lackluster. those are jus my thoughts on the ending though, i thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the manga ^#^
