In the original story, it was established that they could be one way in youth and manifest differently as they became adults. It's not a true misdiagnosis, more like growth.
I heard the author confirmed that it's an alpha x alpha story, well considering how the other stories had all kind of couples, alpha x beta, straight alpha x omega couple, beta x omega, so alpha x alpha was the only one left....

I get the feeling Byul is gonna be like his dad (ugh, I hate that they call him his mom just because he could get pregnant) & actually wind up being an omega. It would be full circle IMO. That said, I'll accept if it's two alphas together.
