In Asian countries freckles r often treated as ugly..... And in one way it does make our skin look dull.... But, on foreigners/Westerners it looks amazing... Like I love them too when I see them online like it attracts.... But, I don't want them on my face cuz it simply doesn't look good.... And the author is korean, where it is seen as even more bad.... So, there u go..... A west inspired story with Asian beauty standards....
Dunno why they do this thing where they say that the ML is ugly and just add freckles to show that like come onnnn freckles ain't ugly bruh
