If it turns out their relationship is toxic im going to crash out and scream

My theory is that they are basically having a redo of their relationship because the first time was toxic. But only because Eve didn’t know how to express himself and got possessive of Adam and Adam not being honest and communicating with Eve. I feel like we’ve gotten little hints here and there that while their love was still genuine, they went about it the wrong way the first time.

Which is why I think Eve erased his and Adam’s memories, to try again.
