The reality of the matter is that no one will ever be exactly your ideal type.
It’s fun to fantasize but it can become harmful if you expect too much out of a partner—but I’m glad to see you have realized your standards may be unrealistic.
I recognize that you’re just complaining to a crowd, but if you do want to think about this more and being single does actually bother you, I’d suggest thinking about what you can reasonably expect from a partner as someone who is also human, but also what is necessary from them for you to be in a happy relationship
I apologize if I’m overstepping, and if that is the case, please simply continue reading BL lmao
Tbh I thought this way too but a man waltzed into my life he pays my bills he ties my shoelaces and he's obsessed with me and I didn't even do anything (i actually turned him down and broke up w him many times but he kept begging me to take him back) so ig what I'm trying to say is maybe just let your ideal type come to u and be honest with yourself when you don't like someone
I m also reading yaoi 8th grade and been in one relationship and it retard af my bf was weird had fb gf from another country and when talk him out why u made online gf he told me just to improve english lol my expectations in real men vanish so much i rather have gay best friend than to have straight men. I m still single doing my masters now
NGL, I've been thinking this for a while now but i think the reason why my standard is so high is because of BL. I've been reading this shit since middle school and it shows. Like, nobody irl can ever compare to some of the BL characters i've read (especially yuri from never understand) and i think thats why im single af. like if theyre not at least 90% my ideal type i get so turned off. For example, as i got to know my ex more and more he kept becoming less of my ideal type until the point where i realized i didnt like him at all lol.
