I thought it was more like bodyguard wants to see jian crushed so that he can be the only one to pick him back up in a messed up obsessive way
I thought it was more along the lines of him being a psycho so obsessed with Jian that he wants to see him being ruined to pick him back up when he has no one else.
Him saying he wants Jian to forget Jitae also made sense with this narrative because he doesn't want Jian to care about him.
He hates his guts and only cares for Jitaes well being
I don't see Jin caring for Jitae much, just that they're working together for their own agenda but let's see what happens, from the author's twitter it is confirmed that Jin and Jian are the second couple though.
