But you have to look at the facts that us readers know about and not Shu, her birth started out as a lie and the imperial father and brother thought they lost a prince and not princess. Considering in the previous timeline, they met Shu during her teen years and already lost her spirit power so henceforth, got mistreated and with no other proof to reveal her identity. In this timeline, the bio family never gave up on the baby and now the truth has been revealed, just imagine if this happened to you and that your child who you thought to have died is actually alive, just barely, but not as who you think has died. This is a rocky slope and hard feelings on both sides who never knew anything until this timeline became a thing. Both sides having feelings are valid and only time will tell how it'll end. I am favoring for the bio family to have a relationship with Shu because at the end of the day, how the past ended wasn’t entirely their fault. Forgiveness may never happen just yet but in due time, Shu may be able to forgive what the past did to everyone involved.

And this is how doormats r born. Cuz if we think of it this way, what IF she rlly wasn't the long lost princess(or prince they thought), was their mistreatment of her right? F NO. So hopefully, she grows a backbone and actually teach them a lesson. Cuz imagine an innocent girl who thought she was legit the princess, cuz she DID have powers but it was weak so it wasn't enough and they thought she was a fraud. Is human decency so much to ask for?? Be treated nicely and with respect?? They r treating her as if she killed the lost princess
But ofc, this is a manhwa that follows the same old same doormats fl who forgives everyone who abused/neglected/killed them before. Cuz oh nooo, it was a misunderstanding. Like PFFFTT, what if it wasn't a misunderstanding and the mc truly wasn't the princess?? So she just got abused/killed for nothing then. Couldn't even treat her with an ounce of respect Like I'm sure a maid gets treated better than her.

Tell me you haven't read the story without telling me... that is a what if scenario that would never happen. Sure, the FL should have been treated better but it doesn't stop the fact that what if scenario will never exist. Both sides has been lied to, there is no lesson to teach them except maybe get all the facts first and try a bit harder to find her first... It wasn't a misunderstanding, the whole family had been lied to and the fl didn't even know the lie so where is the misunderstanding there? My statement still stands, we have to face the facts of what we readers have learned
man i really really hope this story doesn’t end with the imperial family gaining custody over lady shu. idc if the emperor and his son have no memories of mistreating her, if they really want shu to be happy they should acknowledge that shu is already happy, loves, and is loved by her current family- and that taking her from them would just be devastating for both parties. i’m gonna lose it if shu gets taken from the duke.
the only world where i’ll except the emperor taking shu is
a) he takes her by force, shu is utterly miserable and throws a tantrum and says she hates everyone in the imperial palace. maybe get a few smacks in. and he vows to never bother her again.
b) the emperor and the duke become gay lovers. these are the ONLY exceptions.
