It's pretty mediocre from what I've read imo. Like the setting doesn't lend itself to much exploration because of how confined it is. I actually don't find it that cringe which probably says a lot about me, but it's def not that great of a subgenre.

The feeling of cringing has died down dw. oh when I said cringe it’s not about the concept I think it’s just another version of omegaverse/fated person etc. it’s just sounded so silly since you know people also commenting cake/whole bakery all the time(⌒▽⌒) ( kinda disappointed its not that cake)

Lol I do get the cringiness of it, it's just the actual manga are kind of boring compared to the concept. It's an explanation of the setting similar to how some omegaverse manga will have an explanation page at the beginning.
Also yeah the terms being used are very stupid lol. It's pretty funny to read them calling each other cake and fork though.

I actually have not read that one, I meant to link to the explanation page since I had it saved. It's definitely an outlier because the ones I've read usually mean sexual stuff when talking about "eating" rather than eating human flesh. Cannibalism is pretty out there for such a cute cover though, sorry for the jumpscare

its like cannibalism, like a more dumber version of omegaverse but in this the cake is more at a disadvantage cuz they dont intially know they are a cake lol. btw im reading this one and it looks promising
