Garon is not misunderstood, he's a psychopath.
We don't learn about what his childhood was like, but his first victim was his own mother. He might have raped her (not 100%) but he murdered her at the age of 12.
He's not a sympathetic character.
He is a character study on what it would be like if you were a lifelong victim that had just enough backbone to spark the interest of the local psychopath in power. *sigh*
Raon is such a green flag and honestly the MC doesn’t deserve Raon at all (if you’ve read the novel and know the ending)
