Before anyone comes for me, this is just a PREDICTION. I have no idea what’s gonna happen. I have not seen any raws or future chapters. I could be completely wrong.

My prediction is Uriel fell in love with Derek. Wanted to show Derek what it was like to swim in the ocean, to see the world from Uriel’s perspective. Uriel didn’t have all of the information about humans at the time, like the fact that humans can’t breathe underwater. Pulls Derek underwater before Derek could explain that. Derek drowns.
